Shadow work does not need to be diving into the depth of the darkest and deepest canyon floor. It can be sitting at the canyon’s ledge, enveloped in the daylight, scooping up one handful of pain at a time. Choosing how long we hold it, choosing if we are ready to pick up more. Choosing when to leave the ledge and when to return. Choosing an ally to sit with us, while we metabolize the undigested and taking all the time we need, offering love to each version of us we meet.

MENTAL HEALTH COACH

I am a Queer affirming, anti-racist, pro-Indigenous, pro-immigrant mental health coach, activist, and community empowerment advocate. I support decolonization in the mental health forum. I specialize in working with clients who are pre-adolescent children (10 yo+) through mature adults.

I have accrued more than twenty-five years of expertise supporting individuals who manifest symptoms of Anxiety and/or Depression. Many of my clients are proudly Neurodiverse, including (but not limited to) Autism Spectrum and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity. I have a niche supporting individuals who identify as gender non-conforming. Additionally, I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, as well as with those navigating generational, racial and gender-based trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

My practice is integrative, meaning I utilize traditional Western therapeutic ideologies and applications fused seamlessly with Eastern and Indigenous healing practices. Specifically, I use Humanistic and Solution Focused therapeutic applications combined with Art Therapy, Ecotherapy, Breathwork and Transcendental Meditation foundations. I meet with clients virtually, face to face, or using a hybrid format. My rates for weekly clients consist of a concierge format wherein clients may reach out to me via my cell in between sessions at no additional cost.

My first objective when meeting with new or potential clients is to establish a trust-based connection and to build rapport. As we bond and feel safe working together, my clients and I co-create goals for clients’ optimal alignment and fulfillment. My objective is to facilitate client growth at individually customized comfort levels and pacing. I firmly believe that individuals house their own sacred medicine; often our wounds are our access points to our wisdom, gifts, and transformative healing arts. My role is to assist clients as they discover these access points, learn how to interpret, and navigate their own range of medicinal tools and conceive radical self-love.

I am a working artist and share my home studio with clients who seek alternative modalities for therapeutic work. Artistic expression is simply another point of convergence between coach and client. I am also passionate about sharing my love for Mother Earth with clients. I utilize the amazing resources in our local ecosystem to foster reciprocity and sustained healing for clients and for Earth. I offer walk and talks for clients who would like to incorporate somatic movement into therapy sessions.

I am at my best as a coach when I prioritize and love myself. I model this as a coach and support my clients as they develop and maintain boundaries and cultivate their unique self-care rituals and routines. Self-liberation begins with self-love.
